A long weekend in Elgin TX
Thursday afternoon you’d find us at the Elgin Farmers’ Market stocking up on fresh local food for the weekend. We’d then head up Main Street for the monthly Stitch and Hoot at the Owl Wine Bar and Home Goods.
Friday morning would start with lattes and pastries from Chemn Cafe, then since any friend of ours is a knitter or crocheter, we’d drive out to Yarnorama in Paige for a fiber fix. That evening would see us back at the Owl for live music, excellent wine, and a little shopping.
Saturday morning starts with brunch at Firewild on Main, then heading across the street for a blacksmithing class at Earthen Metals. After a well-earned nap, we’d venture to Joseph’s Steak House for a slap-up steak dinner.
Sunday morning may find us at a gentle yoga class at Body and Shine Wellness followed by a stroll around the vintage and antique stores in historic downtown Elgin. And lastly, since Elgin is the sausage capital of Texas, a trip to either of our famed BBQ joins before they hit the road.
